Wow, great topic!!! I think all races should encourage others to learn a little about their history. That's the only way we can grow together, instead of making boundaries between us. I will check out those websites, and thanks for the tip. :)

You should check out "White Boy" by Mark D. Naison--it's an interesting take on this man's experience with attending Columbia College while also performing community activism in the nearby neighborhoods...I agree with you, people need to be encouraged to explore black history through a variety of perspectives..:)

Thanks for the tip. I also read Randall Kennedy's book and found it very informative in describing oppression and hate crimes.
