Number one, Verizon does not use SIM cards. So do not listen to the people who told you to do things with your SIM card.

Number two, go to the website below to activate a phone online. You are going to need to be able to log in to activate it. In order to do this, you will need to have an online account with Verizon. If you are not registered, you will have to do so. But in order to do this, you will need to have the last four digits of the account holder's social security number (not yours - unless you are the account holder). If you can not do this, then you have to call their customer service.

Why don't you just call customer service. Have a few phone bills ready in case they ask something like account number or whatever. Don't screw around with your sim card they are tricky and I had a friend take his out and put it in another phone and it didn't work and when he wanted to put it back in his other phone it didn't work in that one either! The company had to send him a whole new one and it was hard getting them to do. Just call them it will take like 15 minutes.

If you have 2 physical phones and one phone number, just pull out the sim card and put it into the phone you want to use.

The sim card is probably located under the battery.
