If you don't vote and admit that you don't know or care about politics, you shouldn't complain about the government.

Don't you go getting all tough and reporting me, poopiehead. We both know what you really are feeling.

Yes you can. For the simple reason ... It's the American way. And perhaps you own a piece of the rock of contention since you pay taxes. And for someone like me that has never voted I can complain because I served my country during the Vietnam conflict.

Absolutely.
The fact remains, after all is said and done, this system still is the best way we have available to us.
Complaining about the government and not being an integral part of its making is like bitching about not winning the lottery but not ever buying a ticket.

Disagree. If I vote and I know both candidates are retarded, I might as well spare myself the burden of going to the voting booth. After all, I will only feel miserable knowing I have voted for an idiot.

If you are not willing to take a stand for what your beliefs are in the world, you are giving up your right to take a stand against them later on.
You cannot sit back and let others do the work of running the country and then complain that they're not doing it "right".
You DO NOT have the right to talk badly about politics if you are not willing to do anything to change them.

yes, if you not prepared to be involved then stop whining, here in Australia voting is compulsory , i think this is good as it forces most people to at least think about whats going on, although many still just 'tick the box'

I feel that if a person does not contribute to who we put in office then they should shut the hell up and deal with the choices others have made.
