I did, sometimes the doctors look at you a little puzzled as how did you do it. But, hey it makes there job a little easier and it is a personal area, so I really didn't want them doing the hygiene part down there, so I had my partner at the time do it for me..... hehehehehehe

I did with my first one... let me tell you it was not an easy task. Now on my second child I developed a philosiphy: "If I can't see it, I'm not shaving it!" lol. Honestly, it does not matter either way, the doctor and nurses don't really care either. To me its just to much work (plus, not only do you get to be in pain down there afterdelivery but you get be itchy too, trust me, you are not going to want to shave their for a while after). Now, as for legs, I find I'm just much more comfortable in that hospital gown (that pretty much bares your legs completely) if I have recently shaved my legs. It's all pretty much whatever you are comfortable with.

I shaved and when I had to get a c section after 42 hours of labor it was funny because the nurse didn't have to shave it during prep for surgery which made it that much quicker until I got to see my baby!

Doesn't really matter too much.

Cuts from shaving can definately be a possible entry site for you to get an infection though!

You do not need to shave for labor and delivery, only if you want to but there is no reason too.

In fact if you do you may get little cuts that could get infected.

I had my husband shave me completely bare a few days before my induction. I think its cleaner besides I wanted pics of everything. I've nicked myself a few times and I've never got an infection. Its your blood that's going to be on you anyways. You might rip down there anyways, so don't worry about the infection thing. You can ask your doctor as well.

You don't have to so unless you usually do I wouldn't add to the discomfort of recovery. With all the itching from it growing back and stuff.

It's up to you. They don't shave you anymore, so if you don't shave normally, you don't have to (and they won't make you.)

If the doctor needs you to be shaved, they will do it for you.

If you do it yourself, and cut yourself, you may get in INFECTION.
