i need to find some examples of predudice and stereotyping in media for my r.e homework and i am reely stuck as i have no clue! please help me xxx

Take a look at some comedy stereo types.
EG - Irish - Drunken & thick
Scots - Mean & always fighting
A CLASSIC that you must include is "The dumb blonde female" Eg Marylin Munroe, Diana Dors or more recent Pamalea Anderson. The concept that pretty women are stupid.
Have a think also how you recognise a "Goody" from a "Badie" in films & TV.

Just look on newsites like the BBC, sky news etc and have a look at articles that involve any potentially controversial topics like people from different communities, politicians, parenting etc. Last yr for sociology I did a project about a new report on working mothers and found it tried to come across as really unbiased but really it ignored the idea that men were involved in parenting at all. Maybe look at how celebrities are portrayed, especially footballers wives, they're made to look like they only care about shopping and looking good.

Satr with celebrities they are always be catagorised.
Also look to comedys such as little britans vick pollard.
pick up a newspaper for some inspiration.
