yes, square. if you trim them curved, you could get ingrown toenails.

lol funny you should mention that. I trim mine straight across however, when I get to the big toe I take a knife and rip a sliver from center to outside to pull out my ingrown nail.

straight across because my big toe nail digs into the sides of my toes and the best way to prevent that, according to my doctor, is to cut them straight across. But straight or curvy both look nice, as long as they are groomed.
