I'm voting for Ron Paul for 2008 presidential elections.

I will vote for him because he is one of the few in congress who has the guts to speak the truth, and stands by his own principles. He will defend the constitution and the civil liberties of the American people against big government.

Ron Paul is against the Iraq war. He is one of the few who voted against it, and he wants to bring the troops home. He is looking out for the American troops - the longer they stay in Iraq, the messier it gets and more American lives will be lost, and the war isn't going to get better. So, the best option is to pull out and cut the losses. America simply can't afford the war - it's already costing us more than we can afford. Staying in Iraq doesn't solve any problems - it only creates more problems.

Ron Paul is against illegal immigration. He will tighten up the borders, and he will take away the entitlements that are attracting the illegal immigrants.

Ron Paul is against big government. He thinks the government is getting too big and inefficient, and too beuraucratic. He will cut down the size of the government and trim spending.

Ron Paul is against invasion of civil liberties by the government. He voted against the Patriot Act.

Ron Paul is against agressive foreign policy. He thinks America is overly agressive and is creating too many enemies, and spreading itself too thin.

Ron Paul is pro-life. As a doctor and obstetrician, he values life.

Ron Paul is against irresponsible and wasteful spending by the government. He will put stops to wasteful spending.

Ron Paul is for sound money and against excessive taxes. He will curtail the powers of the Federal Reserve System because it is unconstitutional.

Rudy Giuliani is not a man I trust. A few of the editorials I've read describe him as a man who needs disasters. If he can't solve a real one, then he will create one in his spare time.

He has had three wives now. The media has pegged him for at least one affair if not two. His children dislike him.

The fire fighter's union in New York is opposing him on the grounds that he is a monster who has tried to stop the recovery of 9/11 victim remains in favor of a quick cleanup after promising that every brick would be searched for remains. Apparently he restricted fire fighter's work and instituted a faster cleanup plan after gold bricks were removed from the area. An action that was later reversed due to protests.

The man is a mayor, not even a congress man or governor. He has no experience on federal level. His popularity is based totally on hero worship that I don't think he deserves.

My vote is currently for Barack Obama. He is a strong civil rights leader in Illinious. 8 years of experience in state congress and two years as a federal senator. That is two more years of law making than the next popular opponents Clinton and Edwards in his own party.

He is an excellent speaker, able to say some of the most interesting things without sounding like he is reading a child's story book or reciting ridiculous poetry like many grand speeches that politicians give do.

Plus having a man of mixed race as a leader would be a good change for this country and a better message to the rest of the world. This country has too much of a racism problem for that benficial message not to come across.

I'm leaning toward Hillary but I'm not 100% sure who I'll finally voting for yet. Giuliani.....not. Giuliani is arrogant, bigoted, ill tempered and a womanizer. He divorced his 2nd wife, Donna Hanover, by announcing it at a press conference instead of telling her in person first. He was having an affair with an aide while living at Gracie Mansion & while still married and mayor of NYC while taking credit for all the good things that were done by others in “the city”. He fired William Bratton; the police commissioner in 1994 when he found out he made the cover of Time magazine because he (Giuliani) wanted to take the credit for the innovative crime fighting. I lived in NY during his dictatorship, and believe me, I would not want him as president. His character is far worse than Bush & Clinton's worse faults rolled into one, if you can believe that's possible. His name should be Mussoliani.

As for 9/11…. he’s no hero, he just happened to be in the right place at the right time. The real heroes of 9/11 were the NYC firefighters & police plus all the other forces from the surrounding tri-state areas who voluntarily came to pitch in & help us.

You deserve a medal for attutude and thought. Im glad to hear someone who said they will 'listen' to other candidates. Im willing to listen to just about anyone and while I have a short list, I know its too important to make a choice based on beauty contest or who some radio bigot who is trying to tell me how to think. Great question. Keep it up.

Tom Tancredo, Duncan Hunter, or Ron Paul for border security and the deportation of illegals. I'll vote for any of the three.

I will be voting for the candidate who says these exact words to the American people:

"If elected to the office of the president, I will do everything in my power to bring our troops home from Iraq as swiftly as possible."
