I doubt they really care.

Honestly, you don't have to tell all your coworkers you are gay because that is your own personal business. Tell the coworkers that you would consider your friends and you can trust. The people that you would ask to go get a drink together and the people you tell personal stuff to. Your boss doesn't have to know either. Work is work. Thats all you have to do at work. You don't even have to talk to your coworkers. If you really want to tell all the people you work with you are gay the best outlet would be your boss. Not a unplanned confession at a meeting. Tell your boss then ask him/her what the best time would be to tell your coworkers. If he/she suggests not to then don't.
Hope I helped!!! ttyl

Do you WANT to tell your coworkers? What is the reason? Is someone of the opposite sex asking you out? Do you work for a large company or small company? Does your company have a no discrimination policy? If you have a human resources department, they will be most familiar with your company and it's policies. They can give you the best guidance.

I wouldn't unless they were coworkers that I knew very well on a personal level and felt like it was important in bringing integrity to the table... I've only come out to one person from work and we had become very close friends outside of work first... (but, to answer the questioon, if I did want them to know, I'd probably tell them the same way they tell me that they're married, "My partner and I went to the Keys this weekend. It was beautiful.")

Hi,,,
It seems you are living in some eastern or middle east countries as I feel .
So why would you feel you have to tell your coworkers ? just to keep them away ? or you need them to try to make you straight ?
I can't think of a reason for that , even if they ask your answer must be that it's not of their business .
You will feel more relaxed at work by that I promise you .

Here's how my boss did it:
A woman came in looking to for her and she said "I'm going to lunch with my GIRLfriend." Then she took her hand very affectionately and left. END OF STORY, we got the hint!!!!
Or do it slowly. When relationships come up join truthfully in the discussions, they'll realize you keep saying girlfriend and her ...no biggie. You're not obligated to annouce you're a parent, married, or an orphan either.

Would you discuss your sex life with them if you were straight. If not then your orientation is none of their business either. If there is a reason they need to know, then just tell them. Chances are they already suspect anyway.

it's not really anyones business. when I worked in offices where there was no one "open," I kept it to myself, as there were some people who were bigoted. only my very closest friends knew. but now, fortunately, I work in a very racially, sexually diverse office. there are 5 of us in the office of less than 30 people who are homosexual. it's no big deal to be out....everyone is pretty accepting.

you should have to make it a point to reveal you sexuality. if someone asks, tell them the truth and keep walking. as far as i'm concerned, it shouldn't even come up unless you're friends with co-workers outside of work.

Don't hide it, but don't make a big deal out of it. There's no sense in hiding your sexuality at work unless it would get you fired, but you're there to work too, not to be a sexual being.

To be very honest with you, you don't. To a majority of people it's something they would rather not know. Talking about sex in the workplace is just not a very good idea.
