I've received more thumbs up, however, I've twice received best answer for most thumbs down, so I don't even pay attention to that anymore.

I find it uncanny that most of the thumbs up people get are for the dumbest answers I've ever seen. I suspect popularity thumbs up are what the readers want. I also have noticed long winded answers get more thumbs down or nothing at all.
