Initially the war in Iraq was meant to liberate a people oppressed by the tyrant, Saddam Hussein.
In come the terrorists who wish to keep Iraq from establishing a working democracy and attack and murder people in their homes and also attack and kill U.S. soldiers.
Those Iraqis who walked so far and through such danger in order to vote in their new democracy are proof that more people want to make the new democracy work for them and to be able to live in freedom.
The Iraqis killing U.S. soldiers are not those who wish to live in peace, they are part and parcel of the same group who would annhilate the United States and all those who do not worship as they do...thus they attack not just U.S. soldiers but their own people.
There are two factions in Iraq, The Sunnis and the Shias. These people continue to fight among themselves but still it is only the radicals who do so.
To sum it up, U.S. soldiers are not killing Iraqis, they are killing those who will not allow other Iraqis to live in peace, the same ones who set roadside bombs, etc.
These are the terrorists who will not allow peace to happen if they can help it.
Also remember that it is in the best interest of Hezbolla and Iran who funds Hezbollah to continue this war that is taking place in Iraq now,
I hope this helps you to better understand why and how this is happening. I tried.
I could go into more detail but that would take a lot of writing. : )
This link may better explain it than I have...

I will never apologize for the United States of America - I don't care what the facts are.
-President George Bush 1988 [Bush was demonstrating his patriotism by excusing an act of cold-blooded mass-murder by the U.S. Navy. On July 3, 1988 the U.S. Navy warship Vincennes shot down an Iranian commercial airliner. All 290 civilian people in the aircraft were killed. The plane was on a routine flight in a commercial corridor in Iranian airspace.
The greatest crime since World War II has been U.S. foreign policy.
The U.S. must carry out some act somewhere in the world which shows its determination to continue to be a world power.Henry Kissinger,

Soldiers take orders. Iraqis are part of orginizations that deeply resent the U.s's democracy and way of life and are also furious about us backing up israel with weapons. So that is the reason for the majority of the fighting

No...you're twisting round a Soldier's responsibilities and household projects to target to make some anti-defense force aspect. infantrymen are anticipated to adhere to regulations of Engagement that comprise putting off the undesirable adult men...terrorists and aggressors, all at the same time as warding off chance free civilians as a lot as plausible. infantrymen who wrecklessly or deliberately kill chance free civilians can and do face punishment. EDIT: sure i'm a proud American. look up the Geneva convention, the regulations of Engagement and also you'll discover training on who the "undesirable" adult men are, because I doubt you'll take me at my note considering that i'm an American.

I think it's fairly simple.
The Iraqi's are shooting US soldiers because they think they should'nt be there.
and the US soldiers are shooting Iraqi soldiers because they are paid too and if they don't other American soldiers will shoot them or put them in prison.
Pretty simple as I said.
So which is the lesser of the two evils?
