St. Petersburg, Russia, is a city with many attractions and a long history. It is the northernmost city in the world that has a population of over one million. The most recent population figures (1998) show a population of 4.6 million, half-again larger than Chicago. It's primary attractions would be its canals (it's called "the Venice of the north") and its many cathedrals.

Well some are listed in here, but i live in russia and iv'e actually been there. The Hermitage is a LARGE tourist attraction. It is an Art museum that used to be a palace. The Peterhof palace outside St. Petersburg is also very touristy, and the way you get there is on hydroplanes! St. Petersburg is famous for its' parks and canals. Chrches, (Church of St. Pual, The Church of Spilt blood.) and slo the Kunskammer museum is a very famous museum because there are mutated babies in preserviative jars in there. (like if a siamiese twin was born and they didn't survive, they woudl go to the museum.) That may be a little gross.
Hope that i could help!!!

It could be the ship Aurora, which fired the first shot in the Communist Revolution of 1917. Or it could be the Winter Palace, home to the czars of imperialist Russia. Or it could be the bronze statue of Peter The Great riding his horse to battle.
Maybe even the Neva River, which is called the "main street" of the city.
