First off, speaking from experience in the pest control industry, there is not a chemical around that kills flea eggs. Easiest way to get rid of them is to vacuum, wash, vacuum wash, etc etc. Once done vacuuming, dispose of the bag promptly, they will hatch inside the bag if you don't.
Frontline is my preferred brand, although the Frontline Plus variety. Plus has an IGR, insect growth regulator, compound in it that renders any adult fleas it comes in contact with, unable to lay eggs. Since a single flea can lay 2000 eggs, this is very important.
Frontline comes in cat size and 4 different dog sizes. There are different sizes because different size dogs will require more or less chemical to be applied. For instance, if you applied the 0-22 pound size to a 100# Mastiff, it is not going to sufficiently cover the animal enough to repel or kill hardly any fleas.
I personally don't know of any safe flea control that lasts much more than 3-4 weeks. Frontline and Frontline Plus state they work for 4 weeks. Often you'll find after the 3rd week they pesky little things start hopping around again. In testing, you can safely apply the product again after 3 weeks. In the summer when fleas are bad, I Frontline every 3 weeks if I see a single flea, otherwise you can get by with 4 weeks.
Also, if you order your Frontline or any flea or heartworm medication for that matter, from some of the overseas companies, there have been instances where inferior products are being used and you will not get the full coverage or benefit from them. Always buy from a reputable source.

If there is I don't know! I had previously bought that stuff from the store and it isn't worth anything. I use Frontline Plus, and don't have flea problems! Generally all topical flea products last a month for fleas, 3 for ticks I think

Frontline is good for fleas and ticks but so is Advantage and Revolution. Any of these topicals is the most effective way to go. All work for about 30 days.

I use Advantix for dogs. It kills fleas and ticks - haven't had a problem with it and it works great. The instructions say to put it on the animal once a month, but I only do it about every three of four months and haven't had a flea problem. I suspect it will depend on if you take your pet someplace where there is a high occurrence of fleas/ticks. You can also bath your pet without the product washing away.

Frontline or advantage are the best....unfortunately also the most expensive. There is a flea spray --- HOT SHOT FLEA KILLER for your home and pets, that if you spray your house down once a month you shouldn't see any flea's. It works great. You use it along with your frontline.

Frontline and advantage are great for dogs, but I do not recommend revolution for dogs because it is not good at flea control. Revolution is great for cats though. Make sure that you DO NOT use advantix on your dogs, as it is highly toxic to cats. Please use one applicator per pet, i know it is expensive, but if you try to use the same applicator on all of your pets, the fleas will just laugh at you and you are wasting your money.

From my experience, Frontline plus has been the absolute best! It does the job quickly, and my doggies have no problems with it. I'm sticking to that brand, period.

Fleas are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.

Frontine and Advantage are the top brands. You really shouldn't use the same one on all of your pets though. If they have too much on them, it can make your pet sick. They make different dosages for different sized animals for a reason. Talk to your vet about it and see what they have to say....
