Quite often. One trick is to announce (out loud) to yourself, "I am putting this ________ so I don't lose it."

It helps you to recall later when you verbalize it.

Hope this helps!

I put things in a 'safe place' all the time. The trouble is I can never find them again. The only time I find them is about two days after I've just bought a new one. Go fig.
Right now, my passport is in a 'safe place'.

Ive given up on putting things in safe places!! It doesnt work, you end up screaming at everyone around you sayin they have moved it!
I prefer to keep things in a much 'messier' state, and if everything is on the floor noticed things are much easier to find again! But if i out things away i can never remember where i put them!

I bought my wife a bracelet and a set of earrings for our wedding anniversary. She is always moving things around and re-arranging furniture, etc. I hid the gift so well, I found it when we moved three years later, so I gave it to her for all the hard work in packing and getting the house ready for the move. She loved it, specially since I told her why I had bought it for!!!
