The truth is ... if they don't know you and you don't know them, they are going to think your a "cutter" or something like that. There's nothing you can do about it. I'm sure you have some friends that don't judge you based on your look. Just ignore anyone who looks at you, or talks about you.

You can change your personality without having to change your clothing. If you can't afford to buy new clothes that will match your new personality, its ok! Its doesn't matter what you really look like, its how you act with other people around you. If you can believe you can change yourself into something else, other people will believe too! Everyone is unique in their own way. I'm sure if you do change yourself, things will become clearer in a good way. My advice: If you want to change into something your not, don't. Go with what you think is right. Becoming something else with another's opinion is wrong. Go by what you plan on to do (in a good way). I hope this helps! :-)

I'd say that you show the perkier, or happier side of you. People generally associate black/red/chains/spikes with misunderstood, unhappy, or mean people. If you show the more outgoing part of you, then people will see through the stereotype. Especially if you're in school, I'd say to go to social events, join teams that allow you to show who you really are: a friendly person with a unique look.

What people r u trying to get to change views about u? peers? family? teachers?
To be honest with u, change is very hard, because there will always be people to have something to say like ur current friends will probably not like the new you, or maybe u wont like the new you, but clothes are one of the ways that we express who we are. if your no longer that girl that you used to be then maybe u should change you clothes to reflect who u are today!
Don't let haters force you into changing what you like about ur self & style and don;t let them define you as a sterotype Just be you!

Unfortunately, people are visually oriented little sh*ts, and if they're used to seeing you in this style, they'll think it's the same old you, so it might be a little harder to get them to change their perceptions, but if that's what you want, then go ahead. Just a warning, though, it's gonna be hard as Hell.. You might have to change your style a bit in order to get them to "open their eyes" to the new you..
I wish you all the best on this venture!

I hate to tell you but I don't know if you can. People put too much thought into what someone else is wearing to label them. I would keep doing what your doing and be happy with it despite what other people say.

you can try being friendly to people. listening to different music, and being overall happy. you can do this without changing your style. although this style might tell people to back off you can tell show people you aren't hostile with a nice smile.
