Well if you are trying to download iTunes into the iPod that is not possible but if this didn't answer your question then call Apple I'm sure they will be glad to help you. Here's the number

well the same thing happened to me...and my dad told me it was because of my comps. modem..and also cause i have downloaded too many thing on my comp. so i tunes (the new version ) wont download so it doesnt work on my comp. so when i wanna put songs on mine i have to use someone elses comp...simply it could be because of your modem or cause u have to many things downloaded already that there isnt enough room for itunes on ur comp. what i would do is get a a person who works w/ computers to help u just incase..my dad doesn twork w/ them he just knows alot about computers...so try the geek squad im sure they can help...they helped when my comp was broken so try them..

maybe your computer is to slow i tried it on one of my comps and it didnt work cuz it wuz 2 slow so u might need a faster comp. u might also want to go to itunes.com for help it always helps me!!
