Wow, that is pretty controlling. You have your views, your husband has his. He is allowed to have his opinion, just as you are allowed to have yours. If your marriage is based on your personal policitcal views, then it obviously is a pretty shaky marriage. If he doesnt agree with your views on anything else, would you leave him over that too? Differening views on politics is a normal part of life. If you feel so strongly about Bush being in power, then run as an independent candidate yourself and have your own policies. Maybe then, you would understand that we all dont see eye to eye on your own personal beliefs.
Sometimes you just have to agree to disagree and leave it at that. If his political views are causing him to physically abuse you.....if his political views are causing him to not love you, then yes, I would leave him....its the abuse and lack of love that would make a spouse leave the other, not their personal opinions about something that really doesnt make a difference in your marriage. He is entitled to his opinion and you have to respect that. I wonder how you would feel if he left you because he didnt agree with the way you dressed. He would like you to wear jeans and you like to wear dresses.....how would you feel if he told you, you either wear jeans or he is leaving you? I am an individual with my own opinions and respect the fact that people are entitled to their opinions.....I dont have to agree, and either do you. Vote for someone with policies that agree with yours.....dont tell anyone else how to vote...that is their democratic right.

Put yourself in her shoes - and see how you feel if your spouse has no respect for your opinion? Let her be her own person - you marry her because of her wits and her personality. You can agree to disagree.

You know if you are going to use your hatred against George W. Bush and let it come between your marriage that you would rather leave your spouse for that, then your priorities are all wrong.
The man is not a murderer. The Islamo terrorists are murderers. It is their goal to destroy Israel and the western world for their so called 'allah'. You need to wake up to who wants to really destroy Israel and America, it is the Iranian President, not Mr. Bush. Oh, lets not forget about the 'liberals' who also want to destroy America.
