You probably need to download some software that is compatible with your Motorola. May be pricey too.

that is because the cable on its own is not going to work. you have to install the motorola USB modem drivers in order for that to work.
one the usb modem driver is installed the suite of utilities can be used to gain access to the phone. the phone on an XP system does not show up on the My computer area, and a drive letter is not assigned.

It would'nt work on my phone either. You should take it up with the company.
