my parents were 3 years apart. I've known people who were 20 years apart but those marriages get strained and don't always last merely because they span two different generations and their lives were different before they met, so combining the generations is difficult.

My Grannie was 5 years younger than my Grandpa on one side and they were married for over 50 years. She died first

My other Grandmother was 7 years older than her husband - who I never knew and their marraige lasted 33 years - he died first.

My mom is two years older than my father and their marriage ended in divorce.

My first husband was 10 years older than me and our marriage ended in divorce 4 months after we were wed - becuase he beat me.

My second husband was 11 years older than me and we were together for 7 years and apart for 27 years. He is deceased.

My third husband - I knew him since high school - we were married in 2001. He died on our wedding day. But the life time of beautiful memories I had with him are more precious to me than the memories from my first 2 marriages put together.
