Im sorry I just dont believe this because how come some people use calla lillies at weddings-We have easter Lillies at easter,my mother pasted away last year and we had a beautiful arangment of carnations and roses on her casket-I really dont think most people think of it as being a death flower atleast I dont.

This question does not belong in the Garden Section. For what it is worth the Lilly is a symbol of the re-birth of Christ for any religion that follows him. It is the flower sent to a funeral home to wish the deceased a rebirth in afterlife with God.

Lilies have traditionally been used at funerals but I do not really think they represent death. I had lilies at my wedding.
