I assume you mean English from England (only thing that makes sense to me) I personally I can't say for others I would love to go to England and learn more about the country beacuse it has so much history. And as far as the language it ok some bits are alittle more complicated than they need to be but ok.

Why say "English" and not the UK. The UK is a small nation but all the countries (apart from those "Welsh" things on the corner of England) are pretty much the same. After all, we all have a choice in who runs this country....
While some Americans tend to believe the stereotypes of "Brittish" people, some just rate us as people and not our nationality,
Don't be so single-minded!

As an American who has travelled throughout the UK, I can honestly say I love England. It's a great place and the people are very friendly. I am eager to return.

.I am British, and I pray that not all Americans judge us by this stupid question for a kick off!

You cannot generalise like this, there are ALL sorts of Brits and there are ALL sorts of Americans

I have visited America on 4 different occasions and have been met with great civility and hospitality, so stop WINDING people up and giving them all the impression that non of us can spell, and we are all looking or trouble.

You may do better by spending some time doing some study in history for a kick off. As YOU (as in we) never gave them their language, they took it with them several generations ago, on a brave journey to a new land and life.
