the mother was trying to kill her many of you suggested i remove her as she is the runt. when i went to feed her early this morning i held her in my hand and put her on her back. i then noticed a bad smell and looked to see a large black hard area around her genitals up to her stomach. she is only 2 weeks old. i suspect she will die within a day or so, can someone tell me what they think this is? thanks.

Sadly i have had this happen. This is probably why the mother was trying to kill it. They know when the baby is going to be sick or not make it. The baby will die soon, like a day or two. I have not discovered a cure, and nothing seems to help it. The only thing i can suggest in this unfortunate incident is to make it's last days of life comfortable. :(
