Men as pets with no control. I have a lot to learn about women if these are the things you think about.
A society as you mention seems to be mundane and boring. I find the relationships and interactions among men and women fascinating. Have you ever observed the interaction between men and women in different situations or when dealing with unique events. The difference in the thought process is the subject of many books. I, as a man, much prefer the company of women. Most men I encounter are neanderthals. I find that women tend to think things through before acting and are more logical beings. I also enjoy looking at women much more than men.
You would get incredibly bored if men were flesh and blood ineffective female sexual/reproductive entities.

There was a TV show I saw once about men from earth landing on a planet that was just that. In the way they told it if I remember correctly, All the men were like slaves and they had to fight each other so the women could see which men were better or stronger or something for having children. I really dont think it would be much different in our society than it is now. Women are catching up to men as it is. We will most likely have a women president soon. I think there would be less wars. Men want power. And start wars to get it. I dont think you would ever see a women hitler. And its harder for women to kill someone, they have more of a nurturing instinct.

Actually, there are several matriarchal cultures on this planet.
One is in the Trobriand Islands. In fact, men were only good for hunting and protection, and p[leasure The belief was that men had nothing to do with procreation. If a woman wanted to have a child all she had to do was imagine one. It would start in her head and work its' way down to her womb and she would have it, and if she didn't want to have one she would tie a rope around herself under her breasts to keep the baby from getting down there and she would not have a baby. Early missionaries had a hard time trying to convince them about the "virgin birth of Christ". To the Trobrianders men had nothing to do with it, so what's the big deal? They were only there for the woman's pleasure, not procreation. The women made all the rules in their society.

There was a time over 6,000 years ago when woman was the dominate figure. I believe it about to happen again.

Then we'd all be whingeing moaners demanding equality coupled with special treatment.
There would be endless dreary TV programmes on "Shaving is a masculine issue", and "A man's right to stubble".

They weren't that extreme, but matriarchies have existed in the past, though they were few in number.
