…But what I don't get is why are so many women against her? Don't you ladies realize what a triumph that would be for all women in America? I mean here’s woman who is intelligent, experienced and fully qualified to be president of the US, despite the fact that she’s a woman and all I see are stupid reasons posted like "I wouldn't want her around when she's pm-essing" (she's over that by now) or "she couldn't even control her cheating husband, how's she going to run the country?" (What’s his cheating have to do with it?"). Or still another cliché, "she's too polarizing" (Not true, Hillary is very diplomatic & if you take the trouble to study her track record, you'll find that she is a uniter, not a divider like Bush). So, is it jealousy or are you projecting your own insecurities through her? However, if you are, you need to realize that she's not like you. Hillary is what you should aspire to be, & hope that she can inspire your daughters so they too can be great achievers. When someone asks my daughter what are you going to be when you grow up, she can truthfully answer, I want to be president like Prez Hillary Clinton, and no one would roll their eyes & say: yeah, honey, sure......

Terrific question and spot on information that's completely true about the lame reasons given from women who do not support Hillary Clinton. I can understand a woman simply not liking her politics. That's a legitimate response and understood. But the rest of it, as you have outlined it, are very immature and uninformed reasons.
I'm 50 years old and I have known women, too many in fact, that simply do not like other women. They are female misogynists plain and simple. They run them down and have nothing but negativity toward other women in their hearts. It's always made me sad and angry at the same time. As though women need their own to turn against them when they've still got Neanderthals and male misogynists to deal with. I know all men are not like that, and I've been pleasantly surprised by the amount of male support Hillary is receiving. So please don't take that as man bashing, it isn't meant to be.
A lot of responses from women on YA are from Republican women though - and they just repeat the same old garbage about Hillary that they hear from their counterparts, it doesn't matter if it's true or not. She's a Democrat and she's not getting their vote in any case.
Some of the worst are those who are strong women themselves. They look at Hillary and say "she's not strong, if she were she would have left that cheating s.o.b." But they never stop to think that staying in her marriage took a lot more strength than throwing in the towel and calling a divorce attorney. I think it's a sad reflection on the state of attitudes towards marriage that it becomes disposable when it's clear that hard work will be required to repair a marriage scarred by infidelity. Leaving is the easy way out - there's no strength of character to be found in that. Unless of course the woman is being abused, but that is not what we, or they, are talking about here.
My 18 year old niece loves Hillary Clinton. She has been her role model for some time now, and it's half the reason she's interested in pursuing a law career, and she tells me, a possible career in politics. When she was 13, her role model was Britney Spears lol, how far we've come thank God. Largely because of Hillary Clinton, my niece sees no limits to what she can do. She's already busy organizing a Hillary Clinton rally in her state. I've met many women who are thrilled that Hillary Clinton is running. For three reasons - yes, she is a woman, but more importantly, she is qualified and they believe in her vision for this country.
We've a long way to go in this campaign, and I think the number of women supporting Hillary will continue to grow as they hear her ideas and compare them to the others. Go Hillary!
EDIT: Did any of these women who answered they wouldn't vote for her just because she's a woman even READ your question? You didn't put that forth as the reason why at all. They aren't much on reading comprehension I guess...

i'm uncertain if she is a feminist, as a flesh presser her political objectives have constantly come first and which ability she has had to compromise in some aspects that somebody with greater sure convictions would have chosen to no longer. although, she is a sturdy woman, and has shown she is able to handle public existence and as someone who strikes actively and effectively interior the wider international. In that appreciate, sure she's a marvelous function style to declare to youthful girls persons "you could gain, yet you're able to desire to artwork no longer hassle-free and there are outcomes that are no longer constantly what you will possibly think of". i'm uncertain if she's a marvelous function style for women persons 'everywhere', because of the fact exterior the U. S. issues are controlled in yet differently. working example, in Australia political applicants do no longer pass in the process the long technique Obama and Clinton have only persisted, so issues are very different. related to her marriage, etc, her own existence is her very own corporation, yet there is not any doubt she has raised an excellent daughter who's a effective person in her very own correct, and likewise that she has close family participants ties together with her family participants. Cheers :-)

When it comes to physical ability and intelligence there is no difference between a woman or a man becoming the President of the United States. Even her cheating husband doesn't bother me. They haven't had a marriage in years and if they want to fool themselves by thinking people care than let that be their own misery. But Hillary is so devoid of any moral ethics and is in my opinion is a crook who should be in jail not the white house. What platform she has stuck with is a left wing socialist platform and the fact that she pretends to support a war is just a rue to, what she thinks will sway intelligent votes. You certainly don't want much for your daughter.

It would be nice to have a woman president, but that doesn't mean just ANY woman. Why should women vote for someone just because she's a woman? Don't women have the right to listen to all the candidates and make a decision for themselves?

I will use the cliche she's a divider, but my reasons to not vote for her go much deeper. I like her, but I just don't trust her.
While an attorney in Arkansas, one of her biggest clients was Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart goes against all of my principles as a diehard democrat.
Additionally, I'm having a problem with her inability to apologize for her vote on Iraq. Why is that?
Another factor to consider is that she is not the most electable candidate who appeals to the most demographic groups.
Lastly, she has not provided me with any solutions to the pressing problems the next president is going to be faced with, i.e. Iraq, healthcare, poverty, etc.
Based on this rationale, my support and my vote are going to John Edwards. His electability is much greater than Hillary's and has offered solutions to the problems I mentioned above.

Having a woman run for President is refreshing, however her speeches are not inspiring. The next President will be the one who people think will bring a better tomorrow. I do not get that from her. She lacks the speaking ability of her husband.

Obviously you have not been around women very much. Women are like crabs in a bucket, when one crab is just about to get to the top of the bucket the ones below pull it down.

I don't vote for anyone just because of their sex or race. Get real. Even though I'm a woman, Hillary doesn't speak for me.
