I doubt that "most liberals" are anti-police and anti-military anymore than "most conservatives" are war profiteers or corporate greedheads.
However, Americans need to wake up to the fact that this nation is becoming a "police state" wherein the police and military have absolute powers. This can't be good for our society, or for the world at large. Consider the five most vile terrorists of the past seventy five years:
Joseph Stalin slaughtered 10,000,000 of his countrymen and died peacefully in his sleep;
Adolph Hitler gassed 6,000,000 Jews (and others he considered "undesirable") and committed suicide rather than face justice in an international tribunal;
Idi Amin killed 2,000,000 people in Uganda and retired in comfortable "exile", never to be held accountable for his crimes;
Saddam Hussein massacred more than a million Iraqis and was sentenced to death by hanging;
George W. Bush has been responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi citizens and more than 3,500 U.S. soldiers - and has yet to be tried in an international court of law for his crimes against humanity.
People SHOULD be anti-military and anti-police when the military and police (and government) do whatever they wish. It's only, afterall, a matter of time before they come knocking on YOUR door to arrest you for smoking a cigarette in the privacy of your own home or writing a blog like "BUSHWACKER!" (www.blogger.com). Careful: the "thought police" aren't far behind (read George Orwell's book, "1984" which he published in 1948). If you're an intelligent, free-thinking individual, YOU should be concerned about the powers that police and militaries have. It can threaten your very existence. -RKO-

I'm so sick of all this liberal bashing!
Instead of pointing fingers to say that liberals are horrible, why don't you look at the country and how its fallen apart in the past 7 years.
We don't all say that police and military are bad things! Personally, I don't support war but I sure as hell support the men that are out fighting for our country every day.
Is the entire world ignorant these days?

I.....don't know who you're talking about, dude.
I'm more of a libertarian, but I don't have any problem with police, and neither do many of my friends and acquaintences, who are Democrats. I think you're making a rather sweeping generalization there.
Just because some folks think it might be a good idea to start withdrawing troops does not make them "anti-military."

That isn't true, there are police and military members themselves who are more liberal and/or democratic. Not all liberals are 60's age tree hugging hippies, most of us are just grounded and try to be more educated and open. Something a lot of conservatives ought to learn.

That's a ludicrous assumption. It was mostly money of liberals that built the new military facility in Texas for severely wounded Veterans. How much more pro military could you be? I guess that's why they call them conservatives; they conserve their money.

Because they're stupid. Just kidding!
Ok so why? Hmmm... good question. I'm not one so I wouldn't know. I think it's because they tend to be on the "Peace, no war." Side of the spectrum. They think the environment is more important than human life.
