A 'black hole' is a region of space within which matter is so densly packed that the escape velocity is greater than the speed of light. Once trapped inside the so-called 'event horizon' or 'Schwarzchild Radius', nothing is ever able to escape the gravitational force of a black hole.

Black hole is a sun that collapsed and created a black hole in the center of a Galaxy .It furnishes the gravity well that could be many light years across.

It's a collapsed star. The area becomes intense with gravity and basically acts as a vacuum sucking all matter around it into it.
