This sounds like her problem to fix not yours. I would continue to be nice to her and let time fix this if it can be fixed. It will probably have more meaning also if your wife emphasizes the fact you are married than coming from you. Don't worry about the mother in law; work on having a good marriage, making yourselves happy and let mother in law accept or not. We cannot control what others think and feel.

Stop concentrating on the MIL and concentrate on the marriage. Some MIL's are like that I'm afraid. She either puts up or shuts up plain and simple. You two are the partnership now and sometimes MIL get a wee bit grumpy over that. It's a bit like greaving they think they have lost a daughter forgetting that they have actually gained a son. Hope this helps.

You are married to your 'wife' now, not her mother. You need more details with your question.

Stay with your wife and don't let anyone come between you two.

ELOPE! Re-new your vows just to spite her and start making babies. Be happy, fruitful, multiply and forget about her.

It is your wife's place to say something if it is her family that there are problems with.
