I agree with Redwing, and I mean no disrespect to you, but being well spoken might help to attract a more intelligent man. You can not raise your standards for men, unless you raise them for yourself as well. You are good enough for a good man, you just need to raise confidence. Think of it this way, "I don't need man, a man would be lucky to have me."

You do NOT need a man.
You're hurting now, which is understandable.
But if you take the first man who shows interest, you're going to be hurt again.
Give yourself time.
No man needs any woman, nor any woman a man. When people get together because they think they need the other, it leads to misery.
