If you're looking for something that you can watch on tv, and if you have cable, then _Naruto_ is pretty good - that series focuses on young ninjas and has both funny and serious moments. Another one on tv with lots of battles is _Mar_ (with an umlaut - two dots - over the "a") - that one's also funny, and it feels a lot like an RPG, if you've played those before. There's also _Bleach_, about a young man who gains the power of a soul reaper - I prefer subs on that one, but the dub's not bad.
A few others that are good, but that I'm not sure are actually showing on any tv channels:
- Fullmetal Alchemist (about a pair of alchemist brothers who are trying to get their bodies back to the way they were before - great humor, several great fights, and wonderful English voice acting)
- Cowboy Bebop: I think this is intended for an older audience than Yu Yu Hakusho and Inuyasha, so there's drug use, violence, etc., that's a bit more realistic than anything you would ever find in those two shows. Still the English voice acting is awesome (even people who prefer subs have admitted this). A lot of the episodes are standalone stories, some funny, some serious, and the series focuses on a group of bounty hunters.
Get Backers: About two men with special powers who get things back that were taken from their clients - I haven't seen the whole thing yet, but the dub is good, the action is great, and there's lots of characters with cool abilities.

Although I prefer subbed anime the dubbed are good also
( If the actors voices are right ). Inuyasha all the way and I
recommend Ranma 1/2. They are from the same author ,
Rumiko Takashi. Search for it on Youtube.

The 'Mysterious Hat Demon' series (it sounds gay but is actually pretty AMAZING) by Hannako Sergio is well worth looking out for. It's still kinda rare, though gaining popularity in the underground animé movement.
Enjoy!
