I was told that a Member Credit Union Visa Card was not usable in London. Has anyone found this to be true?

I heard visa GIFT cards don't work everywhere but not a credit card from an institution. Maybe someone got that mixed up with the gift card.
Call your Credit Union and ask them. It's always wise to bring 2 credit cards while traveling in case one isn't accepted.

Good Luck

Visa works everywhere. Call your credit union and unblock your card for international travel. also find out if credit union has any sister banks in the UK it may help if you run into any troubles.
