They're small look white/cream colored , red/brown spot on head part and it looks like a black spot on it's back . Is this a lice or mite ?
She just had a baby , and he has them too , I've been using a flea comb to keep them off of him , but is there anything I can give her that won't hurt the nursing baby?

Thanks for your help.

Lice are white or grayish colored, mites are dark brown/black. They are extremely common on goats this time of year but they are both easy to get rid of.

The quickest and easiest way to get rid of them on your doe is to treat her with Ivomec injectable wormer for cattle. Give 1cc per 50 pounds of her weight, and give it orally instead of injecting it. This will not only get rid of the external parasites, but will also get rid of many kinds internal worms or parasites she may have, and it will not hurt the baby. If you have liver flukes in your area use the Ivomec Plus instead of the regular.

If you can control them on the baby without using anything, that's the best way, but if he gets a good case of them they can make him anemic and he'll go downhill fast so keep a close eye on him. If necessary, he can be dusted lightly with Puppy & Kitten flea powder to take care of lice and mites. Make sure it's for puppies & kittens, not dogs & cats, and be sure to keep it out of his eyes. Put rubber gloves on and work the powder into his fur & down to his skin.

Also as an FYI in case you didn't already know- you can't get the lice & mites from your goat so don't worry about that.

They are commonly called goat fleas..I bought two babies a couple of years ago. They only way that I thought was safe was to bath them in a tub of warm water, not cold..Goats hate water, but you just might have to do it...Have someone help you. They will drive themselves crazy and create sores if you let it go and when the summer arrives, you will have a huge problem...Bath, with baby shampoo, dry thoroughly in a warm place that has no infestation...Youll need to clean up their sleeping and living quarters with sevin dust. let it settle for a day or two while the two goats are penned up somewhere else....I used puppy flea spray and rubbed it in afterwards, keeping it away from the utter of the mom..Keep checking and dust the area once a week keeping it away from food and water....flea comb to see if the problem is resolved..

Extremists attempting to bypass off their perspectives as representative of any non-extremist community of folk gets my goat, for example sexist women people passing off their irrational hatred of adult males as "feminism" and, as you suggested, sectarian bigots passing their perspectives off because of the fact the final perspectives of the Irish public. this is arrogance in its maximum insupportable variety.
