If you are under 18, or living at home with the folks, tell them they won't let you go. If you are 18 or older, just tell them you are not going. End of discussion. There is no reason why--you just are not going. You are too tired from the day that was way too hectic/ you have things to do that night/a term paper, or some other "hot" project you are working on. Or, get a small can of paint, and something small to paint (a chair, etc.) and tell them you have plans to do some painting, and some other things around your place that night. Hope this helps. Take care.

Tell them that you have school tomorrow.
or:
*You have to finish up some chores.
*Your sibling is sick and you have to stay with them so they won't be alone in the house.
*You feel very light headed and need to stay home until you can actually stand up without feeling dizzy.
Or just say no thanks. And if they ask why, tell them you've got some last minute plans that came up that really need your attention. If they keep asking, just be straight up with them and tell them that you don't like to dance with random people at a party or whatever.
Good luck!

Tell them you promised (insert what works here: your mom, your dad, your grandma, your aunt, your cousin, the lady next door) that you would help them (insert what works here: babysit, go shopping for them, balance their checkbook, clean their house, take care while they're sick, etc.)
And then really do one of those things for somebody.
Or you could wait til the last minute and tell them you have a very bad case of stomach flu and don't want to spend the night in the bathroom.

Well tell them you have other plans and Tell them you promised to help help a family member and had already set it up with them. ANd you don't want to disappoint them. ANd if they can't understand that hey you need new friends.

No thank you. No excuse necessary if they are REAL friends. You are not required to participate in every activity of the group.
