Why do you think people cheat?

Is it out of boredom, out of curiosity, in search of a thrill or whatever else? Have you ever cheated? If so, has your relationship lived to regret it? If not, have you ever been tempted?

I think people cheat for a number of reasons. Boredom is certainly one of them, ans so is a bust of their ego.

I have never cheated. Can´t say I have been tempted of cheating, but flirting can be exciting sometimes. As long as it stops there.

Obviously because they're not happy in there realtionships that is why most people cheat. Sometimes it can be out of curiosity/thrill thing. Sometimes, for men anyway, it can be a ego booster thing.. like yeah I can get all the girls. It all depends on the situations and the people. Can be many different reasons. I haven't cheated on anyone I believe in staying true to the people you are with.

They are all the reasons why people cheat.
I used to have a boyfriend that had a higher social status then me. Girls come at him all the time, but It'd be normal for him to just act sweet to them. After a while I found out that he was actually involved with 2 other girls. He eventually stopped when I found out. Maybe in this case he was curious or thinking he deserves more than one...
But A person is not worth your time, if he becomes dishonest to you. I'm not with him anymore, but we're still great friends.

I believe people who cheat, really do not care about the relationship. First of all, if they really cared, they wouldn't cheat in the first place. Cheating can happen from many reasons, but I have done that before and I do regret it.

Oh yeah I have been tempted! But only when my relationship is suffering, i am stressed, or i am really attracted to someone. But then i see that my relationship troubles wont last forever and i know i will regret i and so i dont. besides, i know my fiance loves me and would never hurt me so i could not bear to hurt him. everyone in know who has cheated has regretted it and ruined their relationships and lost the true loves of their lives. plus the guilt would destroy me, so i will not risk it.

The 10 commandments was written because given the right situation in life we are all capable of breaking them.
People who sleep around get away with it for a season but, they still wind up paying the price at a later date. Give a thief a good job, great pay and he still gets fired because stealing after awhile becomes a habit. So, does cheating. Your question might as well be "Why does sin have so much power over people?" Strangers do not just jump in bed. Cheating people sow seeds of flirtations then excuse it..."Well it just happened." Planned.....nothing just happens.

They are not monogamous.

Neither am I. I have never cheated on anyone I have lived with. I have been tempted. My solution is I don't live with them anymore. Just date. It's better that way.

I think people cheat for different reasons.
Some may cheat because they are insecure and when other people are attracted to them it gives them a selfesteem boost.
Some do it for the trill.
Some do it because they are not happy with their love life but don't want to leave the realationship because they are 'comfortable'. I am sure there are tons more reasons.

I cheated once, i regret it though. I went from strait A's to like A, B, B, A, B, A. It's not too bad, but still, it's dumb to cheat.
