That was ancient history now. It all to do with ball hogging, ie who should get the ball more at certain time of the game. This all happened when they both played for LA. They did win 3 championships though.

Two things were going on with Koby at the time. The first being when he got caught doing somethings that he had no business doing he justified his actions by saying that Shaq was doing it too. If you get caught don't snitch (life lesson). The second was that I think a lot of people were filling up Koby's head with the idea he did not need Shaq to win a championship. He wanted to be the best like Michael Jordan, but I think he forgot that MJ had a great complimentary team around him. He did not do it by himself. I really think he realizes that now and wishes he had done things a little different.

Even though Shaq and Kobe didn't get along, Shaq never wanted to leave the Lakers. The Lakers just didn't want to give him the extension he wanted, so Shaq demanded a trade. If they had given him the extension, the Lakers would of won at least two more championships.

one, they are not good friends...two, they are not good friends...they have a professional relationship...Doc released it thru Mitch that Kobe was untouchable, and they did not jump to give Shaq a huge contract that would have left the team with little resources to rebuild the team, Shaq had been carrying a lot of weight and was always worn down and injured at the end of the season...only after leaving did he lose the weight to improve his situation but still ends up being injured for long stretches...(either that or saving until the end of the season) as far as Kobe goes I recall being at the Monday night Raider game where Brett had just lost his father and Shaq was the halftime interview for Lexus because the team was in town for a game with the Warriors the next day...a number of players were all in the sponsors box...Shaq, Devin, Fisher, Gary Payton, and B Russell were all there as well as my good friends in the Laker organization...and I asked out loud 'where is Kobe?' to which all the guys looked at me and laughed...anyway that should pretty much tell you what that was all about...and I would like to add that Shaq is a good guy, funny as all hell, and not just for the cameras...i was disappointed to see how he talked bad about the organization after he won a title with Miami...

Yes they did break up as friends. It's hard to explain everything that happen but basically it was a lot of drama between the two then they lost in 2004 finals and that was about it. Shaq claims he didn't want to leave he says that the owner choose Kobe over him.

Kobe is/was a snitch. He started tell the press about other NBA players (Shaq) that have affairs on their wives. Kobe started talking about other NBA players after he was caught with the girl in Colorado.

Were have you been?
