I love Mansfield - but i have only visited. It is a small town with not much to do - but it depends on what you like to do socially.

I grew up in a small town and the only problems i have encounted are the following:
- Small town gossip - arrrhhhhgggg everyone know's everyones business
- Feeling isolated from the "real world"
- The cost of food and petrol is higher, but to buy a house is lower

The good thing about moving out to the country is you can tell friends and family that it is a "trial run" to see if you like it - if you don't then you can return without feeling like you have somehow failed.
