I'm still waiting on many decisions and I got accepted into some other schools, but this is my first rejection and I feel crushed.

Honestly, I'm going to dole out some tough love, suck it up. I didn't get into the top two colleges that I wanted to go to despite the fact that my mother was an alumni club chapter president (Carleton) and that my father went to law school at the other (Georgetown). I can remember how dejected I felt when, on the same day, I got my Georgetown rejection letter and my acceptance letter into Notre Dame, a place I only applied because my father made me. I ended up going there, and I will be completely honest, I don't think I would have been half as happy anywhere else. The thing about colleges is that all this acceptance/rejection stuff works itself out. I know, nobody likes to get rejected, but it happens. You don't dwell on it, you get over it, and you make the most of the other opportunities you have. If you had told me that I would have been content to have been rejected by Carleton and Georgetown, I would have called you a liar. So cheer up and have fun at whatever college you do end up at. In retrospect, none of this is really that bad! Besides, if you're really discontent, you can always transfer, but I doubt that will be the case. Hope that helps!

There are at least two theories about how it works. If you get a conditional offer from your first or second choice, then your future is assured. Why you have to choose four to six universities/colleges only to be turned down by most of them is anybody's guess. If you have one conditional place then there is nothing to worry about. Good for you, you've done it and the best of hard studies for the future.

A hug . plus know that some people (like myself) , never could afford to go to school.

Surely you have had a much easier life then I to feel rejected just by That.

No offense.

I m 25 and I ve already been homeless twice, and barely get food and shelter even now.

Believe me, there is much more to feel down about then being rejected from a university.

Life usually teaches people the hard way if they don t learn the easy way.

Or life is just luck.

anyhow, a hug is the best medicine. I know right now in life that s exactly what I need from life .

Stupid decisions , bad luck, deppression, . ohhh yea , I wish I had the worries you have instead of what I got today.

losing a dear ex wife because she didnt want me no more.

yep. ok i ll stop now.

good luck.
