For Internet you'll want DSL or Cable service. If you already have cable, call your provider and ask them what bundles they have.
Toshiba makes excellent laptops and their Qosmio™ models let you play DVDs without starting up the computer.

HP makes good laptops. i have had mine for a while and never had a problem. it will cost you anywhere between 700 to 1000 dollars.

second question yes! anything above 1.5 would reallly be good!!! Definity HP! ALL hp's come now standard with HD screen and HD 32bit sound!!! no matter what one you buy all of them is standard!

you should get dsl or comcast i prefer dsl so much cheaper or you could get comcast
