i had that problem too!for ever!
then one day i used a cotton bud soaked in a little antiseptic,although sopay water should do, and its been fine since-but rinse it out thoroughly
i think you just have to clean it properly from time to time-its very easily neglected!and thats why it smells!!!

Mine doesn't smell. Maybe try using a fragrant soap to wash it out in the shower each day. It is kinda a tight little area were skin oils, dirt and sweat can get mixed so maybe thats what you are smelling.

Same as feet, sweat,dead skin and body oils and very poor aireation.
