i need help.... no one likes me?

i need help , here is my problem, i`m a stay at home mom with 3 little ones we live in a very small town where everyone knows one another been here now 4 years and haven`t been able to make one friend , not that i haven`t tryed , i have the women here won`t talk to me, they have no problem talking to my husband , even been times i`m standing right next to him and they don`t even reply with a hello even though i said hi 1st, this really got to me when my husband put up my explore for sale we got a new truck so we could let that go , we one of the guys he works with came over to look at it my husband wasn`t home but i didn`t think it was a problem to let him see it i got the keys and tryed to hand them to him and he said no i`ll just wait till your husband is home ,,, ok i said thats fine , will thats not the problem he said my wife want to see the car but i told her not intil gerardo is home i told him it`s ok to bring her but he replyed no i`ll bring her when he`s here why?????

insulting me must make some feel good about themselves
i have been along without friends or family for 4 years
the women do not talk to me because i`m Mexican, husbands friends do not speak to me because i`m Mexican born here in America so i`m an illiterate Mexican with 3 small babies i can`t share with friends or family so keep up with the insults
i don`t feel low enough, but do thanks all that have kind words

I really didn't start making new friends when I moved with my husband until my kids started school. Then I became friends with some of the other mothers.
If your children are in school I would try to set up a few play dates with coffee and tea for a few of the mothers and have some games for the kids so that you can get to know each other. Most people now a days are just protective of there life's and they don't mean anything harmful buy it. As far as the thing with the truck some men just like to do business with men (that doesn't make it right ) but I would just let that go.

You could be living in an area where men rule. Or a backward city. I don't have a clue. Usually when you move into a neighborhood it takes five years to get established and begin making friends in the neighborhood. Maybe those women don't have little children and they don't talk with you because they are afraid you will ask them to babysit. Or they could be older and don't want little children around anymore. Or, they see you are struggling with your little ones and assume you would be calling your mother to help you with them. Or they just see that you have your hands full. Or, it could be you need a new hairstyle and makeup and need to get out of your jeans sometimes. Or, maybe your husband needs to watch the children sometimes so you could get out and talk sensible things rather than talk about changing diapers. Seems that where you came from you were your own person, but the place where you are now the females aren't strong. If your husband put the Explorer up for sale then the people who came to see the vehicle thought it belonged to him and not to you so maybe that's why they didn't want the keys from you. On the other hand handing them the keys while you're watching children isn't a good thing to do either...strange things happen. So letting your husband take care of it is a better thing to do. Don't fret, things will change in the future.

maybe it is just their odd way. and if someone says that again, "I'll just bring her when he's here", you could say "well the key won't work any better then."
