what training oppurtunities are available for becoming a news anchor?

You can get basic schooling at a school of broadcasting, but anchor positions are highly coveted spots , & are earned through doing great work w reports done on location & assorted feature reports done by the individual demonstarting their ability to express themselves in a commanding manner which is also able to attract & maintain viewers for a station.

Timing can also play an important role, as the most desirable anchor positions don't open up very frequently.
