i don't want to become one i am doing a report so don't give me stupid answers!!

Some qualifications includes education, either at a school of broadcasting or a good journalism university. Then gaining experience by doing great work as a reporter on location and feature reports. Got to have credibility to gain the public trust. Need the charismatic ability to attract and maintain viewers for the station.

Think about how many news anchors ever become serious commentators? The TV stations want you to be pretty, able to smile and spout drivel day after day and not loose the ability to smile no matter how bored you become.

you can't just read the news, you have to know the news as you are often asked for your commentary. i am sure it demands a higher education and good grasp of the political arena.
