South africa is filled with crime and all u ever hear about is people dying, young women and babies getting raped, innocent people getting shot and mugged. Will this ever stop or do we have to wait for the world to an end..but then it will be too late. I mean we cant ven walk on the beach at night coz we will never know what may happen to us....and its scary. iWish i was born in another country where i could be in peace. Everyday i feel like crying and tourists dont like to visit this country coz of the crime here and its ambarrasing. Our government is doing nothing to save this country, all they do is talk...i am fed uo and everyday i have to live my life in fear not knowing what's going to happen.

I'm sorry that you feel that your country is not a 'safe place' to live, and that you feel 'at risk' because you can't 'walk outside free' in safety. The 'fear' you say that you 'must live with daily' is something that really worries me, though ... because I know that there are 'some places' in South Africa that are the way you say your life is, but that there are others that are 'very safe' if you 'take the usual precautions' when you go outside. Try never going ANYWHERE alone ... take two or three friends with you, and perhaps an ADULT if you are not an adult. Take some 'self defense' courses if that is at all possible ... anything that you can take from a 'martial arts studio' will help you to feel 'more powerful' and will actually 'help you look more powerful' by teaching you how to 'stand and walk' like someone who knows how to handle herself. If the 'authorities' in your country want to 'just talk' and never 'do anything real' to help you and the people around you to 'feel safe' then maybe it's 'up to you' to go out and speak out to 'groups' of people who may 'agree with you' and form 'committees' to see what can be done NOW to make your country a 'safer' place for everyone ... and that includes the 'tourists' who will come to your country when it is 'safer' for everyone. Until then, I'll pray for you and yours ... to be safe, whole, and happy.

I believe people are not born evil, they ve been trained to become evil. Usually its connected with some kind of lost.
I really don't know the answer to your question. Who are those people who do all that terrible things and why they do it? What do they want? Whats their goal? Crime is not problem only in your country, it happens everywhere, maybe its more brutal and obvious in your country.

The gov is allowing it to happen,any area can be policed ,but alas some police can't be trusted either,crime is every where it is bred from hunger,joblessness,despair,and the greedy people in control.

we never can and every country has crime unless the country isn't run by money (countries and islands noone knows about)
