how do you measure the wheel to find out the lug patter of your vehicle?

You measure from center of one bolt to the center of the bolt across, not beside. On a five bolt rim there is no direct across but you measure either of the bolts across that are not beside the one you're measuring from. Also measure the center hole opening, all these are done in millimeters.
