Why was Tom Delay on Face the Nation this morning?

I'm not crazy about Tom Delay on Meet the press this morning. How thinks he is an idiot?

I watched Delay on Meet the Press. I didn't see Face the Nation today.

Tom Delay bores the piss out of me, but he represents the opinions of quite a few people in this country. I can't stand listening to his idiotic recycling of the same arguments that this administration has been trying to make for 5 years, nonetheless, I watched him because he gives me insight into the minds of some of the ultra conservatives that I run into on an almost daily basis.

Why was he there today? Delay has a new book that he's pushing, and from Tim Russert's reaction, there are some interesting stories about the adminstration in the book (though they didn't discuss them today).

While I was watching the show, I couldn't figure out why Richard Perl was there. He's a nasty man with the ethics and charisma of Dick Cheney and the insight of Karl Rowe. He didn't add anything to the conversation that couldn't have been cut out of Newsweek 4 years ago.
