Uhmm, are smurfs gay?

Question

Well, since there is only one female (who doesn't seem interested in any one of the other male smurfs) and all, I mean ALL of the other smurfs are male, none seem interested in Smurfette other than just being neighborly. Also all the males are running around in hot pants & shirtless.

Does this mean that Smurfette is a queen - uh does she lay eggs like once every hundred years or so?

I'm confused, does anyone know the facts?

Smurfette was evil, made by Gargomel (sp?). The Smurfs found a way to make her Smurfette--a good little smurf.

As I understand it...
Smurfs are unsexual-kind of like blanks. The dominant smurf will always take on the appearance of a girl named smurfette. No other "blanks" will become a smurfette until the reining smurfette dies.

I LUV THE SMURFS!! lol, u do make a point tho. i never really thought of that!! hehe! maybe a long time ago, when papa smerf was young, maybe he had all the smurfs, and his wife and him only had one girl?! maybe sompin happend to the wife, and only the boys and the smurfette were left! and the reason she dont hit on the boys and the boys dont hit on her, is cuz they are all sister and brothers...

years ago there used to be statuette smurfs that we bought just to sit on our desks as decorations. That was a time in the world where there wasn't such a thing as gays, transvestites, etc...so we never thought of it that way. We just considered smurfs and no gender, just as though they were a doll or a cartoon.
