Took 2 years off after my BA, but continued taking classes as a Post-Bach student Would it look bad if all 3 recommendation letters came from these professors, or should I get all of my letters from professors who I had years ago for my BA?

i got into grad school this past fall and my letters were from all over the place, past b.a. work other classes i took over the summer in art history(took for fun!) and a boss that i had at work and a friend.

most college grad dept.s now have the recommendation letter forms on line, you just tell so and so to visit said web address and take a survey about you and thats it. it gets emailed to the school.

as long as the people you ask are going to give you a strong recommendation then it can come from anywhere!!

It might look a bit odd, yes, especially if your post-BA work was at a different institution. But what we want to see is letters from professors who are familiar with your work, people from whom you have taken preferably multiple courses over multiple years. Those letters, by the way, are absolutely crucial. If you can get a letter from a professor who is well known and highly regarded in his/her field that is a plus. So too is a letter from a professor who has had some affiliation with the institution to which you are applying, e.g. the professor is himself/herself a graduate of the program to which you want to be admitted.
Good luck.
