What kind of plants do well in full sun?

I live in Oregon, some say zone 5.

I live in Montana I am a zone 4 my favorites are Coneflowers(they come in purple yellow orange pink and red)very hardy they start blooming late july-another one is monardia(bee balm) a very fragrant flower pinks,purple and reds-russian sage very large purple-ish spiked flower a late bloomer but very fragrant and Galardia or blanket flower constant summer bloomer different varieties I have orange,burgandy and a fanfair mix. All of these flowers are easy to grow(like a weed) these are just a few of the flowers that do well in full sun-Goodluck!

Appreciate the zone location, however, you do not spell out what kind of planting you are looking for. Do you want evergreens, trees, turf, annuals, perennials, etc. I live in the same zone and am a retired Landscape Designer willing to help you. If you wish my email is [e-mail]. In general your zone is tricky in that ground temps dictate the plants growth along with the air temp. What is the facing of the bed (e. w. s. n.). The home across from you may support plants that yours can not! Again, retired and happy to help. Good Luck.

I worked in a greenhouse for 17 yrs so hope this helps...If you are planting annuals for color I would go with geraniums or petunias. Also moss roses (portulaca). Always look at the tags when you are buying plants. there should be growing information on them to tell you where to plant them.
