I just joined a baseball team and it is my first time playing.
I knew for the fact that my throwing and catching are very off.
I practice as hard as I can , but my coach put me in as an outfielder instead of teaching me how to be a pitcher , I just don't have it in my heart to be an outfielder and he knows this. There is a game today but I haven't got enough time to practice and I'm not that experienced. I don't want to bring down a 1st division team with my pathetic excuse for skills , I want to practice more but this game came up. I don't have the confidence right now, My coach keeps on telling me that he will work on me one on one but he never does.
I don't even know why I loved the game so much in the first place .

If you joined because you actually love the game, have a
little faith in your coach and in yourself !
Stick it out for awhile and see what happens, you might just
improve the skills that you say that you lack !
I know that in your heart you wanted to be a pitcher, but we
all have to start somewhere.
Don't give up so fast. You might get suprised !
Have faith in yourself !

this is the Phillies i'm frightened approximately. they're merely too sturdy and no-one beat the Yankees at domicile in the postseasons like the Phils did. i've got faith this is going to take a miracle to triumph over them.

Quit whining!!!!
sometimes teachers/coaches see sth that you don't see!!!keep practicing!!!if you didn't play well your coach wouldn't even have let you play!!!!keep bugging your coach to help you,or find a buddy to practise with!!!!once you get better your confidence will return!!
if for some reason you REALLY don't play well as an outfielder than keep telling your coach to try you as a pitcher!!!!
good luck!!!

Where's the question?
Practice on your own. Keep bugging your coach. You'll get better. On the other hand, if you're not having fun anymore then why play? If you actually "love" the game like you say, then I think you'll work hard to become better at it.

I am not sure what you are trying to ask. But you should quit if you do not like it. I know it is hard if you are forced to play. If you are not you should quit. The skills will get better over time and when you get muscle memory. The love or feel of the game takes time. You'll get better but if you hate it quit.

Question???
Something that helped me I personally threw a rubber bouncy ball at a brick wall and caught it. Start off slow then get faster.
(For flies bounce it off the floor first. Make sure you're in a high, deep, wide, enclosed, area. And wear a glove.)

well if you are not really feeling the game find another. it is not necessary to stay in something you don't like. there are plenty of sports out there. try them until you find your niche. it may not even be sports. coach has to put aces in their places to win. maybe in off season he will try you as pitcher if you stay. good luck, viva la resistance!!!
