I have the #4 pick and I know pretty much how the first 4 picks are going to go.

1. Pujols
2. Soriano or Howard
3. ARod
4 My pick...

If Howard goes I'm taking Soriano but if Soriano goes, do I take Howard or do I take Reyes?

Thanks for the help!

I personally am a huge fan of both Reyes and Howard. In fact I have had Howard on my keeper team since he debuted two years ago.

I would suggest taking Reyes like many of the others have said earlier. Here are the reasons.

1) SB are a premium stat category and Reyes is the best base stealer in MLB should have somewhere between 65-75 this year
2) SS is a far tougher position to get high quality players. For instance Tejeda has long been one of the better SS (along with Jeter and lately Rollins), but compare Tejeda and Reyes. Tejeda had 20 hrs last year, but Reyes had 19 and is getting better at power and the 50 more steals by Reyes make him so valuable.
3) Howard likely isn't going to put up "bigger" numbers than he did last year. He might approach those numbers but getting more stats probably isnt going to happen while Reyes is gaining power and more than likely will have 20-30 more runs.
4) Look at how deep 1B is in fantasy baseball. Pujols, D.Ortiz, D.Lee, Howard, etc. 1B has become a deep position so you likely can get a player like Giambi or Nick Swisher way later in the draft who will only be about 10-15 homers less (still around 35-45 homers) and maybe 15-30 RBI's less which can easily be made up with other power hitters at other positions.

I'd definately take Reyes over Howard. Howard isn't going to have 58 HR's again, and he's too young to be a proven #4 fantasy pick. Of the two definately take Reyes, plus 1B has a lot more quality people at it than SS. There's only 5 or so quality SS's compared to 10-12 1B.

Howard, he outproduces Reyes in 3 categories and comes close in 1 more (runs). You can always pick up a player like rollins or jeter in round 3 or so

take Reyes.

you are looking at overall percentages for your fantasy team, so fill out your percentages to your advantage as the league progresses.
