I have found some old basketball cards from 95/96 that are pretty rare. Do people still trade these? and where?

Check out: http://www.beckett.com/beckettforum/ . Scroll to the middle of the page and there is a forum for trading basketball cards. Even if you have alot of cards of players that aren't superstars you should be able to trade or sale some of your cards if they are rare enough. There are alot of people on that site that collect their favorite players or players from their favorite teams. Good Luck.

Yes, people still buy basketball cards. Not only are they buying packs and single cards, but many are also into unopened boxes and even cases. The hobby is still active, just that more collectors are into short print cards than regular sets. Sad to say, but the hobby is no longer the plain old card collecting like it used to be. You can trade or sell some of your 95/96 cards at the shop, or to a collector. Refer to a Beckett Price Guide. But I think only a few cards retain value from that season like Topps Finest Refractors, MJs, Garnett and Sheed RCs... some examples.

Yes, they do. It depends on where you're at. We had a card store & hardly ever sold the Basketball cards. They sell better in locations near the teams are located. We're closer to Football & Baseball (Cincinnati) so we sold those. I hope this helps!
