Be of good cheer. Don't cry for me Argentina. I don't have any real concerns. I am simply Bolivias to anything outside my little world. Excuse me while I PERUse the Sunday paper. It would be a good idea. I don't know if you are from the northern or southern hemisphere but the seasons are the opposite between the two hemispheres. For example when it is summer in North America, it is winter in South America.
You might want to go on line and pull up the name of the place in Chili you are going and find out about the climate at that location.

No. Pack light. Buy sweaters there---they have world-class cashmire sweaters there at very low prices. Also good leather---find a shop and have your own stuff tailor-made.
Yes, it gets cold in the mountains. but be tough. Represent.
